But of course compassion for man must take second place to loyalty to jehovah's organization (the Feminine Discreet Slave), and YouKnow is so very, very loyal that he knows that what the watchtower says about avoiding the evils of the internet does not apply to him.

  One day soon, YouKnow, your voice will begin to change and you will leave behind the ways of the bellicose 12 year old you are. Perhaps someday the elders will take you camping with them and reveal to you the finished mystery. Perhaps someday they will let you stand behind the literature counter and make change for magazines.   i guess i've just been naive.. i was surprized to find that some 'super loyal'.

  witnesses i know have been practising witchcraft.. of course, they'd never call it that - it seems that.

  when various illnesses arise you get out an assortment.

  As I understand it, holistic medicine teaches that the potency of these concoctions increases inversely with concentration, i.e., as the solution becomes more dilute, it becomes more effective.

  It can be demonstrated mathematically that some of these remedies have less than one molecule of 'active ingredient" per dose. Molecules, in this case, are like pregnancies: you either have one or you don't. "Take this. It has NOTHING in it, and it will cure you."

  HUH?

  Based on that thinking, pure distilled water would be the UNIVERSAL remedy, but it isn't.

  Add a little bourbon to it though, and you've got something. I think Joe Rutherford might have said that said that under the direction of the holy spirit.

  The witnesses teach people to have contempt for logical processes. The fact is that all human progress has been a result of man's mind and man's back - no "manna" has ever fallen from the sky.

  what job could you have had?

  hi i've just come home from cleaning windows.what an absolutely soul destroying job.. when i think of the things i could have done.. i remmember how my teachers in school used to tell me i would surely go to university and get a good job.i remmember the shock on one teachers face a few years after i left school when i told her i was a window cleaner.. i was also intrested in art and quite good at it.my grandfather who wasn't a witness offered to help me and my brother get good jobs in the art world.. we turned him down.. arrmegeddon was so soon.. anyone else like me ?.

  To The Wiz,

  I'm not going to flame you. I know how you feel. I'm probably not of your caliber, but I too was once considered "gifted". Not any more.

  You are absolutely correct about the signifcance of lost TIME.

  If I may, though, I think that most - not all, but most - of the comments here were intended to offer encouragement to someone that we though (mistakenly, as it turns out) was stuck and unable to get himself motivated.

  But every word from your broken heart rings true. Time slips away. yet it may hapen that tomorrow or the day after that something will occur to you that generation yet unborn will thank you for. or perhaps something you say will spark an idea in your child's mind, and you will be in a position to fan that flame rather than dump cold water on it.

  This is a struggle we share.

  Best wishes to you and your kids - they have a dad who knows the TRUTH.

  ok, this is for those of you who wanted my life experience as a jw, so here goes.. i was born to a beautiful woman/mother who was abandoned by my biological father.

  my mother was raised as a jw and left in her teen years and turned to the baptist church as an adult.

  Dfd and looking toward re-instatment

  i have been dfd since i turned 19, i aux, pioneered for a short time and then selfishly went after the fruits of the flesh.

  smoking, sex, drinking, drugs, etc.... the thing i couldn't, or wouldn't, see at the time was that i was acting selfishly.

  it didn't matter what others in the cong.
